Signature Collection

Kokedama Living Sculptures

Rooted in the Japanese art of growing plants in moss-covered balls, kokedama transforms a living plant into a sculptural centerpiece. Each ball is hand-wrapped in natural moss, embodying the wabi-sabi philosophy of beauty in simplicity.

Why Living Art

More Than Beautiful

Enhances Your Space

Adds color, texture, and a calming touch of nature to any room, lanai, entryway, or table.

Supports Well-Being

Caring for plants can reduce stress and build a sense of accomplishment as your piece evolves.

Lasts for Years

Unlike cut flowers, a living arrangement keeps growing. With proper care, it thrives and evolves.

Custom for Your Home

Share your vision, light conditions, and style — every plant is hand-selected for your space.

Refreshes Indoor Air

Live plants contribute to improved air quality; tropicals and air plants are especially effective.

A Thoughtful Gift

Arrives with a care guide and plant list so the recipient can enjoy it for years.

Plant Care

Keeping Your Living Art Thriving

Kokedama care is slightly different from traditional houseplant care, but the difference isn't dramatic. Each piece comes with tailored instructions for the specific plants in your arrangement.

Misting a moss ball kokedama over a shallow bowl of water
When to Water+

Use the weight test — a freshly watered kokedama feels heavy; as it dries it becomes lighter and the moss loses its springiness. You can also insert a wooden skewer midway: damp means wait, dry means water. Most houseplants every 7–10 days; ferns and tropicals every 5–7 days; succulents every 2–4 weeks.

How to Water+

Fill a bowl with enough water to cover the moss ball and soak for 10–20 minutes. Remove and let excess drain, or gently squeeze to speed it along. Rest it on a drying rack or towel before returning it to its display area.

What Water to Use+

Always room temperature to avoid shocking the roots. Spring or filtered water is ideal; tap water can work if left to sit overnight. Avoid softened water (residual salt harms plants) and stagnant rainwater.

Light Requirements+

Bright indirect light suits most tropicals, orchids, anthuriums, hoya, tradescantia, and air plants — east-facing windows are ideal. For low-light rooms, full-spectrum grow lights work beautifully. Your piece arrives with specific guidance.

Orchid Care Tips+

Phalaenopsis orchids prefer bright indirect light and like to dry slightly between waterings. After blooming, leave the spike in place — it may rebloom from a node. Feed monthly with a balanced orchid fertilizer.
